Kitchen Lab Co. cares about your privacy. We therefore only process data that we need for (the improvement of) our services and handle the information that we have collected about you and your use of our services with care. We never make your data available to third parties for commercial purposes.
This privacy policy is applicable to the use of the website and the services of Kitchen Lab Co. that are derived from it. The effective date for the validity of these terms and conditions is 20/10/2021, with the publication of a new version the validity of all previous versions will cease. This privacy policy describes what information about you is collected by us, what this information is used for and with whom and under what conditions this information may be shared with third parties. We also explain how we store your data, how we protect your data against misuse and what rights you have with regard to the personal data you have provided us with.

Webshop software
Shopify
Our shop is developed with software from Shopify. Personal data that you make available to us for our services are shared with this party. Shopify has access to your data to provide us (technical) support, they will never use your data for any other purpose. Shopify is on the basis of the agreement we have with them obliged to take appropriate security measures. These security measures consist of the application of SSL encryption and a strong password policy. Shopify is a certified processor of credit card information. Shopify uses cookies to collect technical information regarding your use of the software, no personal data is collected and / or stored. Shopify reserves the right to share collected data within its own group to further improve services. Shopify takes into account the applicable legal retention periods for (personal) data. The EU/US Privacy Shield applies, your data may be processed in the United States.
Webhosting
Strato
Strato processes personal data on our behalf and does not use your data for its own purposes. However, this party may collect metadata about the use of the services. This is not personal data. Strato has taken appropriate technical and organisational measures to prevent the loss and unauthorised use of your personal data.Strato is bound by contract to secrecy.
E-mail and mailing lists
MailChimp
We send our e-mail newsletters with MailChimp. MailChimp will never use your name and e-mail address for its own purposes. At the bottom of every email sent automatically via our website you will see the 'unsubscribe' link. You will then no longer receive our newsletter. Your personal data are stored securely by MailChimp. MailChimp uses cookies and other Internet technologies that provide insight into whether emails are opened and read. MailChimp reserves the right to use your data for further improvement of services and as part of this process to share information with third parties.
Strato
For our regular business e-mail traffic we use the services of Strato. This party has taken appropriate technical and organisational measures to prevent abuse, loss and corruption of your and our data as much as possible. Strato has no access to our mailbox and we treat all our email traffic as confidential.
Payment processors
Mollie
For handling (part of) the payments in our webshop, we use the platform of Mollie. Mollie processes your name, address and residence details and your payment information, such as your bank account or credit card number. Mollie has taken appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data. Mollie reserves the right to use your data to further improve its services and, in this context, to share (anonymised) data with third parties. All of the above-mentioned safeguards for the protection of your personal data also apply to those parts of Mollie's services for which it engages third parties. Mollie will not retain your data any longer than is legally permitted.
Reviews
Shopify
We collect reviews through the Shopify platform. If you leave a review through our website, you are required to provide your name and email address, which Shopify shares with us so we can associate the review with your order. In the event that we invite you to leave a review, we share your name and email address withShopify. Shipping and logistics
PostNL/ DHL/ DPD
If you place an order with us, it is our job to deliver your package to you. We use the services of PostNL, DHL, DPD and others to perform deliveries. It is therefore necessary for us to share your name, address and place of residence with them. PostNL, DHL and DPD will only use this information for the performance of the agreement. If PostNL, DHL or DPD engage subcontractors, they will also make your data available to these parties.
Invoicing and Accounting
Unit4
We use the services of Unit4 to keep our records and accounts. We share your name, address and details regarding your order. These details are used to administer sales invoices. Unit4 is committed to keeping your information confidential and will not use your personal information for any purpose other than those described above.
Purpose of data processing
General purpose of processing
We use your data for the sole purpose of providing our services. This means that the purpose of processing is always directly related to the order you give us. We do not use your data for (targeted) marketing. If you share information with us and we use this information - other than at your request - to contact you at a later date, we will ask you for your explicit permission. Your details will not be shared with third parties other than to meet accounting and other administrative obligations. These third parties are all bound to secrecy by agreement between them and us or by an oath or legal obligation.
Automatically Collected Data
Data that is automatically collected by our website is processed with the aim of further improving our services. These data (e.g. your IP address, web browser and operating system) are not personal data.
Cooperation with fiscal and criminal research
If necessary, Kitchen Lab Co. can be obliged to share your data on the basis of a legal obligation in connection with a governmental tax or criminal investigation. In such a case, we are forced to share your data, but we will resist within the possibilities offered by the law.
Storage periods
We will retain your data for as long as you are a customer of ours. This means that we will keep your customer profile until you indicate that you no longer wish to use our services. If you indicate this to us, we will also consider this to be a request for forgetting. Pursuant to applicable administrative obligations, we are required to retain invoices containing your (personal) data; we will therefore retain this data for as long as the applicable term lasts. However, employees no longer have access to your customer profile and documents that we have produced as a result of your instructions.
Your rights
Pursuant to the applicable Dutch and European legislation, you, as a data subject, have certain rights with regard to the personal data processed by us or on our behalf. We will explain below what these rights are and how you can exercise them. In order to prevent misuse, we will only send copies of your data to your e-mail address already known to us. If you wish to receive the data at another e-mail address or, for example, by post, we will ask you to identify yourself. We keep a record of completed requests; in the case of a forgetful request, we keep an anonymous record. You will receive all copies and data in the machine-readable format that we use in our systems. You always have the right to have the data that we process, or have processed, and which relate to you or can be traced back to you, corrected. You can send a request to this effect to our contact person for privacy matters. You will receive a response to your request within 30 days. If your request is granted, we will send you a confirmation at the e-mail address we have on record that the data has been modified.
Right to restriction of processing
You always have the right to restrict the data that we process, or have processed, which relate to you or can be traced back to you. You can make a request to this effect to our contact person for privacy matters. You will receive a response to your request within 30 days. If your request is granted, we will send you a confirmation at the e-mail address you provided that the data will no longer be processed until you lift the restriction.
Right of portability
You always have the right to have the data we process, which relates to you or can be traced back to you, carried out by another party. You can make a request to this effect to our contact person for privacy matters. You will receive a response to your request within 30 days. If your request is granted, we will send you copies or copies of all the data about you that we have processed or that has been processed on our behalf by other processors or third parties at the e-mail address provided to us.
