Kitchen Lab Co. has different materials/sinks. developed the correct mounting method. Both the adhesive strip and the magnetic dishcloth holder are suitable for stainless steel and aluminum sinks. However, for new stainless steel or aluminum sinks (<2 years), the magnetic dishcloth holder is recommended, due to possible adhesion problems of the adhesive strip on new sinks.
